Stuart Broad never Watches the Games he Played in

Stuart Broad reveals that while he is really fond of watching old Cricket games, he never watches those games in which he himself participated in because it feels absolutely bizarre to him to watch himself in action.

On asked what is his favourite item on the television apart from Cricket, is it news or is it some soap, Broad says he doesn’t switch to the news channels at all and whatever news he comes to know about, he does it via social networking platforms and not via television.

The items which are generally on his television are all sports items and he rarely switches to anything else. Golf and Soccer are the two sports other than Cricket which he takes keen interest in and follow a lot. More

The fear of burnout ahead of the forthcoming Ashes is already forcing teams to take certain steps.

The Ashes series is set to take place towards the year end but the ECB has denied the request of Nottinghamshire for Stuart Broad. The County cricket side wanted the player to feature in the County Championship games.

Some argue that it was a sensible decision ahead of the longest ever season in English cricket but others say the governing body was abusing its power. England wants to keep the chances of retaining the Ashes so they do not want fatigue to affect either of Broad or Jimmy Anderson.

Ben Stoke is another concern with his participation in international cricket. With as much as 19 games that would run until September, the England talisman is focused on having an incredible year despite the workload. More

The fourth test series played in India at the Wankhede stadium, had seen England in a lot of troubles as they slipped up, making a total mess of their dominance and gifting India the win as Virat Kohli went on to score his third double century of the year.

However, the England cricket squad members decided it was necessary that they took time off in Dubai, to enjoy with some friends while they hoped to try and rescue the series, especially with the upcoming final match of the series.

The cricketers have been doing their very best to put behind their struggles in their two previous tests in India and the clique which included the likes of Joe Root, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, and Ben Duckett were spotted relaxing in the sunny metropolis

The clique were joined by Louise Webber and Bealey Mitchell, girlfriends of Buttler and Broad respectively.

In particular, Buttler seemed to be making the most of the trip, as he was spotted posing in front of the Burj Al Arab with Webber, and a beer in one hand. More

Stuart Broad on Target Setting for Pakistan

Stuart Broad reckons the two unbeaten batters on 4th day will have a say in how big a target should be given to Pakistan in the on-going game in Birmingham as they, having stitched a huge partnership, are supposed have a better feel of the pitch than any other player.

If they convey to the skipper and the management that the current lead was big enough to rule the possibility of a Pakistan win, then it might lead to England being daring and announcing the declaration first thing in the morning to have a go at the opposition openers in the fresh conditions.

As per Broad, the bowlers would probably also be talked to regarding the declaration and speaking from bowlers’ standpoint, he can say that they would like early declaration as it would leave them with a luxury of having a crack with the new ball twice if the game went down to the wire.

Coming to his own bowling, Broad acknowledges that in spite of having been able to chip in every now and then, he has been far off from the best he can be as a pacer in the current summer and he attributes that to some of the changes he has made in his bowling style. More

England team management will now have to seriously consider bringing Stuart Broad

After how the young fast bowlers bowled the other day in Centurion, it seems the England team management will now have to seriously consider bringing Stuart Broad into the XI.

England had batted well in Centurion and had posted more than 300 runs on the board, but, they failed to stop South Africa from hunting that score down on a flat pitch.

The bowling was pretty one dimensional from England and there was nobody in the attack who could enforce a wicket with some sort of extra pace or bounce.

The presence of Broad could have made a difference as he is someone who has got the ability to bang the pitch and get something out of it even if it does not have too much of juice in it.

The bowling line up that England has preferred in the recent times, it has got some skilful bowlers who can swing the ball upfront and are also good in the death and they have done well to be fair to them. But, when the batting conditions are easy, they get found out as they lack pace.

The Wanderers, where the next game is to be played, is not likely to be any different a pitch in comparison to Centurion. So, if Broad doesn’t play, the young England attack might find itself on the receiving end again.

Broad has made a comeback to the One day International squad of England after some time. More

Stuart Broad is disappointed with the fact that he over stepped to deliver the ball

Stuart Broad is disappointed with the fact that he over stepped to deliver the ball which induced the outside edge of the Pakistani top order batsman Shoaib Malik on the first day of the Abu Dhabi test match .

That outside edge was safely held, but, later when checked, it was not found out to be a legal delivery and Malik stayed on to continue his innings from there and eventually, at the end of the day, he was unbeaten at the crease having scored a century.

According to Broad, if he had got the wicket of Malik there, his team would probably have finished the day in a commanding position.

Speaking to a television presenter on the sidelines, Broad said, “It was certainly disappointing. Playing in difficult conditions, you don’t want to be wasting opportunities like that.”

“And, it’s not the first time that it has happened with us. We were denied a couple of wickets because of overstepping in the Ashes too. So, we certainly have to see it as a problem and try and sort it. You can’t be excused for such an error at this level especially when it costs the team big.” More

Stuart Broad bowled one of the best spells of fast bowling in Ashes Cricket

Stuart Broad bowled one of the best spells of fast bowling in Ashes Cricket at Trent Bridge, Nottingham where he dismissed 8 batsmen for just 15 runs and sent the Aussies packing for mere 60 runs.

James Anderson was out of that game because of the injury that he had sustained at Edgbaston and Broad was the senior-most bowler in the playing XI. Thus, the onus was on him to deliver when Alastair Cook won the toss and inserted Australia in on a fresh, green pitch and boy, did he deliver?

Right from the very first over, he was on the money. The lengths were absolutely impeccable. He pitched almost every bowl right at the good length area just outside the off stump enticing the batsman to play and inducing the edge. It was a treat to watch.

Broad, however, would like to thank some of his teammates too for their brilliant catching. The England fielders converted half chances into wickets that morning.

The catch that Ben Stokes took to send Adam Voges back to the shed, it was sort of unreal.

Broad himself just could not believe that the ball had actually been caught. The expressions that he put on his face, he was absolutely shocked and so were the other English fielders as well as the Thousands of English supporters. More
